Software Engineer Intern

We are looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join one of our development teams. This full-time or part-time role is designed for college students pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field who want to gain hands-on experience in a professional software development environment.

As an intern at ArchitectNow, you won't be relegated to side projects or busy work. You'll be embedded as a contributing member of an agile development team, working on real client projects alongside experienced engineers who are invested in your growth. You'll follow the same software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices as our full-time developers—participating in sprints, code reviews, and team collaboration—while receiving mentorship from senior team members who will help you build the skills and confidence to launch your career.

What You'll Do

• Work as a contributing member of an agile development team on client-facing projects
• Assist in developing and maintaining web applications using technologies such as .NET Core, C#, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (Angular or React)
• Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives to gain experience with real-world Agile methodologies
• Engage in code reviews and collaborative coding practices to learn professional development standards
• Support the team with testing, debugging, and documentation
• Receive mentorship and guidance from senior developers committed to your professional growth
• Gain exposure to cloud-native development on Microsoft Azure
• Learn about AI-focused development projects and cutting-edge technology solutions

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Foundational knowledge of at least one programming language (C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar)
• Basic understanding of web development concepts (HTML, CSS, front-end/back-end principles)
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn from teammates
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Availability to work full-time or part-time during the internship period
• U.S.-based and legally authorized to work without sponsorship

Bonus Qualifications

• Coursework or project experience with .NET, C#, Angular, or React
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
• Experience with RESTful APIs or database technologies (SQL or NoSQL)
• Familiarity with Agile development concepts
• Personal projects, hackathon participation, or open-source contributions that demonstrate initiative and passion for development
